Procuring wildlife safari permits across India's tiger reserves can be highly competitive due to strict daily vehicle caps set by government regulations. To ensure your jungle excursion is arranged successfully and without sudden complications, please consider these essential permit tips before you plan your trip.
National Parks are exceptionally popular during the peak traveling season (October to June). Since the number of daily vehicles allowed inside core forest zones is strictly limited, we recommend initiating your permit bookings at least 90 to 120 days in advance to secure your preferred dates and entry gates.
Securing government permits independently can be complex. You can submit your passenger credentials and preferred dates through our secure facilitation portal, and our experienced booking representatives will handle the complete government scheduling process on your behalf.
You must carry the exact same original identification card (such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID) that was submitted during the booking process. Forest gate authorities inspect these original documents rigorously; even a minor spelling mismatch or an incorrect card number can result in an immediate entry denial at the park gates.
Familiarize yourself with the differences between core zones and buffer forest areas before booking. Once a government permit is confirmed, the assigned entry zone cannot be altered, exchanged, or rescheduled under any circumstances. If your preferred core zone is fully booked, buffer zones often serve as excellent, quieter alternatives for wildlife viewing.
A maximum of 6 adult travelers are permitted inside a single safari vehicle (Gypsy). Children aged 5 years and older are counted as full passengers under park regulations. If your traveling group consists of more than 6 members, you must secure multiple permits and vehicles.
Always report to your designated park entry gate at least 30 minutes before your scheduled safari start time. The mandatory document verification and guide assignments take time. Late arrivals are strictly barred from entry by the forest authorities, and no refunds are issued.
All permits issued by the State Government Forest Departments are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable. Once registered, a permit cannot be reassigned to another person or rescheduled to another date.
If your travel itinerary allows, plan your safaris on weekdays (Monday to Friday). Weekdays generally experience lower visitor numbers and lesser vehicle congestion, resulting in a significantly more peaceful and focused wildlife viewing environment.
