About Jhalana Leopard Reserve
India's first leopard reserve located right in the heart of Jaipur city.
Jhalana Leopard Reserve is a unique wildlife destination situated within the city limits of Jaipur. Spanning over 20 sq. km, it was once the private hunting ground of the Royals of Jaipur. Today, it boasts one of the highest densities of leopards in India, earning it the title of the "Leopard Capital".
The reserve is nestled in the Aravalli hills, characterized by narrow valleys and dry deciduous forest. This terrain provides the perfect camouflage for the elusive spotted cats. Visitors here enjoy a high probability of sighting leopards, often within minutes of entering the park.
Beyond leopards, Jhalana is home to Striped Hyenas, Desert Foxes, Golden Jackals, and Blue Bulls (Nilgai). It is also a birdwatcher's paradise with species like the Indian Pitta, Spotted Owlet, and various raptors. The safari experience is divided into two main zones: Jhalana (Zone 1) and the recently opened Amagarh (Zone 2).

Important Safari Rules
- ID Proof: Original Govt ID (Aadhar/Passport) is mandatory. Foreigners must carry original passports.
- Zones: Jhalana (Zone 1) and Amagarh (Zone 2) are separate bookings.
- Silence: This is a small reserve; loud noises can easily disturb the leopards.
- Dust: The track is dusty; carry a scarf or mask.
